Rivera PlumbingText messages
Missed call · 10:42 AM

Hi, it's Ana at Rivera Plumbing. Sorry I missed you! I'm on a job. What do you need? Reply STOP to stop.

Sent by the phone app

Our water heater is leaking. Can you come today?

Example: a made-up plumbing company. The phone app sends the first text.

What this is.

You're on a roof or under a sink. The phone rings, and you can't answer.

A business phone app can text that caller back right away. This is called an auto-reply.

Free AI, like ChatGPT or Claude, helps you write the text.

It sends one text. It won't follow up or track the lead. You still call them back.

Want more than one text? See the Missed Call Text-Back bot, coming soon.

What you need

  • A business phone app with missed-call auto-replies. This guide uses Quo as the example.
  • The one-time texting phone check (A2P)
  • A free ChatGPT or Claude account
  • A few minutes a day to read replies

Pick a business phone app with missed-call auto-replies. Quo has them on all plans.

  2. Do the phone check.

  3. Write your text.

Copy the prompt below into ChatGPT or Claude. Pick the text you like best.

  4. Turn on the auto-reply.

Paste your text into the app's auto-reply. Turn it on for missed calls and voicemails.

  5. Use the new number.

Put the app's number on your truck, website and cards. Or ask the app about moving your old number.

  6. Check your replies.

Read replies twice a day. Call back the best leads first.
