Idea for contractors · SalesGo from drawings to bid and submittals in one place with Bobyard

What happened

Bobyard said on Oct 29 that its AI now goes past the takeoff. It reads the drawings, builds a priced estimate from your cost list, makes a branded proposal, and puts together submittals from product PDFs and specs.

Source: Bobyard blog, 2026-10-29. This is our short summary. Read the source for the full story.

How a contractor could use it

If you bid from plans, try it on one bid you already sent. Load your common items once, let it count and price, then check every number before the proposal goes out. Use the submittal part after you win to pull product sheets into one PDF.

Added 2026-10-30. Check any tool's price and terms on its own site before you use it.

Fix your whole sales deck at once with Gemini in Slides

Google said on Oct 30 that Gemini in Google Slides can now change many slides, or a whole deck, from one ask. It can update words, fonts and colors on every slide, match the look of another deck, or turn a few slides into one. It is rolling out on some paid Google plans, in English first.

Update this whole deck for [company name]. Use our colors [colors] and one font for all titles. Cut it to 8 slides or less: who we are, our work, how a job goes, what customers say, and how to reach us. Keep my facts as they are. Do not add prices, numbers or promises that are not in the deck now.

Let CompanyCam AI draft the proposal from your job notes

CompanyCam added Auto Drafting Proposals on Oct 27. Open the AI assistant inside a proposal and a starter card can draft it for you. It uses what is already on the project, like a walkthrough note.
